One might contemplate the pick-up line she uses.
"Would you like to borrow Cuddle's Jacket? Your head looks cold"
Or maybe they have gathered around a recently extricated faecal sample so as to warm their bones and hearts.
In spite of my sarcasm, you have captured a warm moment in a human relationship with tact and talent.
