Again found in an old file. I was just playing around in my yard with trying to shoot birds…taking off..landing…using their wings etc…and out of a lot of shots I found one …this one seemingly hidden from me and when I downloaded the photos Lo and Behold I found the capture- wow and wow Birds are hard to catch! This is a Mourning Dove. They come into my back patio and walk around very unafraid while I am there. The patio is covered from sun and rain. It is not an overlay just the photo. However I did use it in an overlay for a new project I have asked to work on. The closing art work of the project will be my art. Theme of closing /Death and Rebirth.

I am so impressed with nature and humbled by my silent thoughts and misplaced nit-picking reservations on how you appeared to have aligned the light section of the body, "too obviously", with the dark sections of neck and tail.
Well now, it's clear that my judgement, (which I refrained from disclosing, as I didn't wish to appear obsessionally "picky"), had no basis in what nature designs and executes in its work, anyway.
So, "know-it-alls" don't!

No problem my friend. Of course you would think this could be an overlay….it's what I do. If you look closely just to the high left you will see the tail feathers of another dove. I still to this day can't believe this very lucky, beautiful ascension-somehow reminds me of Count Dracula'…my imagination never ends.

Cool shot and recognized it being a Mourning Dove at once from seeing them since being a youngster on dove fields.

Thank you! We have many in Texas. My yard is full of them as well as Blue Jays, Cardinals, Mockingbirds .and Sparrows Oh yes and the Magic of Ravens too!
