Now that's cold, Wolfgang. Beautifully rendered by the way.
It's need a while since I've been there. It was also snowing or had snowed. I can't quite remember. Bloody cold though. I spend the afternoon sketching the building. It seemed a better thing to do than to take a quick shot and flee to somewhere warm.

my honest respect for standing there and doing some sketching in this really cold winter athmosphere of Vienna (it always needs two jackets more than in the other parts of Austria ) )

Wolfgang, my sketching is not a patch on your imagery here. Maybe I needed a few more layers.
Buggered if I know how you guys live in that sort of climate.
Unfortunately we don't have a lot of history like Europe. It's always a pleasure walking in the footsteps of the rich and famous, even if I think they were probably all pompous arseholes. Money and privilege might have been the heart of decadence but they sure knew how to impress with their architecture.
