I recently spent some time with four otters. It was a really nice experience - about an hour with them 50 feet or less! They would dive under the ice and come up with a perch or crayfish, eat their prize and then do it all over again. This particular shot is mom enjoying a crayfish as the evening sun was setting.

Jaime,

You and your wife do marvelous work! Do you have a tent or sleep in a truck or what? Anyway, glad you are back. Your pictures are much appreciated!

Do they crunch up the whole thing? I have seen some sea mammals break them with a rock? am I mistaken?

That golden reelection is divine!

Thanks for sharing Jaime!

These guys just crunch them up! I've seen them use rocks for shellfish in Alaska though!

They would go under the ice for 20 or 30 seconds them resurface at the hole and eat the prize and then go back for more! It was a mom and three grown kids - really fun - really curious..
