What is Project 33 ?
From my site where its stands:
"This photographic project is an idea of ArtiSet's group of photography that has been implemented carried out and dynamized by Antonio Correia with a set of 11 lectures every third Thursday, each month except August.
The events take place at José Afonso' s room in "Casa da Cultura de Setúbal", with free entrance.
Invited photographers work will be exhibited yearly not only here, but elsewhere.
A book with 4 images by each guest is also to be launched by then."
It is me who curates the photographers.
ArtiSet is a group or artists from Setúbal which includes, painters, sculptors and photographers.
It is me who has been developing the hole idea. I have been working on it for months now.
Several initiatives are being developed and some will come to life.
Among those initiatives I have done so far:
A book by a service in Lisbon, Folios and a facebook page so far.
I am fighting also for an annual exhibition of 22 images in the AriSet space. It will take place in February 2017.
This project is to be repeated for years.
I have the sponsorship of my daughter's event firm - Springevents - a firm producing oysters from Setúbal and a firm producing wine. However, the sponsorship partners do not pay anything !
Springevents will have two hostesses serving the oysters and the whine, the oysters will be offered during the reception with the wine. They all agreed !
Almost no money involved ! So far, I have spent 150€ in flyers. No, I am not counting the hours...
I would like the final exhibition to be sent to other places.
The Folios are those I use for myself.
I have offered 6 Folios to each participant but I want one offered back to me with 5 images signed in return.
I have created the symbol.
Planning the next 11 photographers for 2017 already !
Tell me what you think about this crazy idea. How about doing it in ... LA, Bordeaux, ? Have any other ideas about this ?
