Overlooked...but not forgotten. Locker and landscape analogy there. :)

Paul,

Beyond the beauty and grandeur you have captured that fascinates me, I wonder about how this picture was made. First did you climb or is their a path or road up there? How long did you need to walk and what is the height above sea level?

I ask since now I have had my heart attack, I realize how much I struggled even 10 years ago walking for just five miles up a winding path to get just half way up a Swiss mountain! Now it makes sense!

Just as I want to ask what lens was used, I now ask how on earth did you get there?

Hey Asher, first things first. I hope all is well and recovering with you...Regards, on that front.

If you'll notice, there is another image on here entitled 'Sphinx Observatory...' and that is where I was shooting from, on top of that thing. To get up here, there is a train that runs through the Eiger...yes, the Eiger has been gutted! :)
Anyway, at this point i'm around 13,000ft above sea level.

Thanks Paul,

So the only stress to face is the oxygen level at 13,000 ft. But then what lenses did you find most useful?

I used two cameras, one of which was my Pentax K3II with the HD DA 16-85mm by itself; and my ubiquitous RICOH GR, mainly fitted with the GW3 21mm. And that's all I needed...

The air is quite thin up there although I only noticed it when hiking up hill to the Monchsjochhutte, opposite to where I shot 'Way Up...' and had lunch.
For those of you who like to eat healthy, do not order the cheese and ham sandwich...It comes wallowing in a bowl full of 200g of melted cheese, you cannot see the sandwich, it's buried under the cheese. OMG...that was a big mistake. :p
