We are in Lock Down! Police with guns in our house!

We have spotlights from a police helicopter looking for the bad guys.

These police look like special forces or marines. All buff and each carry special gear and various huge guns.

In all this we discovered a door wouldn’t lock, LOL!

We put all the lights on to help the police and let them go on our roof to get a better idea of the empty overgrown house next door.

We presume we are safe. We just don’t want the bad guys here! Earlier loudspeakers were ordering the robbers to come out and they wouldn’t be harmed.

Right now we have the helicopter moving around trying to spot their quarry.

We have no helicopters so we call them in from Los Angeles when needed.

But we have the trained special forces and I would rather have them than the helicopter.

Anyway, I snuck a picture or two, but it seemed pretty silly taking pictures when these guys lives were perhaps on the line!

I even trusted the German Shepherd not to pick me out as one of the bad guys!

Interesting how one just accepts pretty big turning upside down of life.

Left car in street as police won't allow me to bring my car in the garage.

On TV these police events and a bunch of ad breaks take up what 45 minutes at most. We have been here already some 3 hours!

Still it ain’t coronavirus that doneonecis coughing on me!

You will have to imagine!

Police are gone outside but we still have an helicopter above us, likely press for the marathon.

Happy we heard no gunshots!

Hadthat happen in our neighborhood about 2 years ago. Police running around with guns drawn loud scary sirens blasting. Found 2 kids guys hiding in the backyard of some persons house. They had stolen a car.....very scary I know

Now to fix the doors that the police ripped open by accident!

Now I can justify the heavy steel plate and 1” thick tempered glass! It took 6 workers to bring it in in these two pieces one at a time!

So we are safe until the locksmith arrives shortly!

I managed one shot as it seemed actually pretty rude to be taking any pictures when the guys lives were on the line

But they were returning from the darkness, with no shots fired, so I just snapped one shot! I couldn’t adequately see anyone except the front two men.

It was totally black but I recovered it from the RAW file and decreased the noise in Topaz. “Perfectly Clear was no use for noise. But after a passed it through Topaz twice!!!, I used Topaz Studio with Topaz Adjust 5 to suppress the b.g. and enhance the faces and uniforms.

This looks “lit”, but we are actually seeing the results of very aggressive post processing. By my sight, the light was limited to a foot from the windows at the left.

There is no doubt the Topaz is far superior for noise removal, (in my hands), than the filter in ACR 2020. I was so surprised that one can repeat noise removal with Topaz.

I have great respect for these men, as they went out in the darkness to face an unknown, but likely very real, perhaps even a deadly existential threat in the darkness!

This is police work that is awesome.

Being stopped for an alleged infraction by some other very different breed of lone officer, from a small town Department is likely another matter entirely, with the citizen the one under grave threat!

In the rural area where I live there is a property with a quite expensive home that was abandoned for a number of years. The owner, a wealthy business man was being threatened with extortion and kidnapping by the FARC guerrilla so left for the US. Neighbors of mine whose property adjoins the abandoned property began to hear noises at night coming from the house. So one day they called the police two of whom came with guns drawn and we all trooped down to the house to see what was going on. It turned out the owner had back broblems so had had a huge concrete slab installed in the master bedroom to place his mattress on. Evidently at some point a rumor started in the community that the man and his family had left a "caleta" or stash of money in the house. Some campesinos were convinced that it was hidden under the slab of concrete so were coming at night trying to pry it up and get to the imagined stash. It was a difficult task and I thought if we could find out who they were they would be good workers to hire for tough jobs. Of course there was no stash and we never found out who they were.
