Congrats! That us one beautiful, fast focussing modern camera!

Now you should be in great shape!

I am so happy for you!

As long as there is no clump of coughing strangers around, go out and steal scenes

........and any bullion you can spot, from abandoned banks!

BTW, for the banks, it’s customary to swop that blue surgeons’ mask for a Western bandanna or a Ronald Reagan full face mask, with the latter, they will think you’re red-bloodied fellow republican and be happy to share the loot!

Stay at home doesn’t apply to photographing trees, mountains, eagles, swallows or other folk riding a horse or bike!

That’s why you got that long Sigma Lens. It’s the perfect weapon in the days of long distance image grabs as the virus cannot leap as far as you can focus!

Don’t be silly, stay home !!!!
There isn’t even slightest danger of fresh air in the sparse countryside.

If you can go to get groceries, then for durecyoy can walk in the fresh air away from
People.

Remember the cashiers counter MUST be contaminated.

The air is contaminated in supermarkets with refrigerated air, protecting the virus, get their filters can’t trap the tiny 120nm Coronaviruses!

You have the biggest risk from the plastic wrapping bread and produce!

@Asher Kelman I know all that, but the prudence must be and less close to others potentially positive to the virus is far safer.
When outside you always take the risk to cross someone… So STAY HOME!
Yes we do go from time to time to groceries ("open air" markets are closed here since this morning… :( When we get home we wash carefully all vegies and fruits and packs as well… We throw all packaging the when done we wash carefully hands and arms…

Key is soapy water. soap aligns the fatty layer of the virus membrane and it comes off surfaces immediately.

Then it dissolves the membrane rendering the virus non infectious!

We also use white vinegar for the vegies

Anne and I are using similar precautions, but trying to stay informed so we can be balanced. Being we have been in isolation in a travel trailer in freezing Ontario, Canada for one week now - have not left the trailer - and are blessed that family pick up any groceries we need and bring us meals and leave them outside our door. We found this interesting read - “Are food deliveries and groceries safe during Coronavirus pandemic? Yes, experts say”. Of course, we will make our own decisions on how far we want to go to protect ourselves.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/20/health/food-safety-groceries-coronavirus-wellness/index.html

And I really like the way this video supports what Asher has stated about hand washing:

As well - for over a month I have been trying to understand the process as best as I can - and this remarkable Youtube channel designed to support the medical community - explains things so well. It looks like this channel also is providing daily Covid19 updates based on current medical insights. It has been amazing to use this opportunity, to get to know the workings of my body like never before:

Thank you for that Robert!

the coronavirus is only likely to be an issue if an infected person coughed or sneezed directly on the food or packaging, rather than if they just touched it, both food scientists said.
In order to catch the virus that way, though, you'd have to touch the contaminated item, then touch your face, they said.
All the health agencies and experts have stressed keeping hands away from the face as a primary means of avoiding the virus.
Which is why, Schaffner said, when you leave the store, you should make sure to sanitize your hands.
"If you are worried, you can always wash and or sanitize your hands after handling anything that you think might be contaminated"
That is exctly why we have to be careful…

I'm going for a motorcycle ride to play with my new camera. I live in a small town in the Pacific North West & not many people are even out or about. I think I'm okay to go take pictures of the trees, Mtn, & ocean.
But thank you all for your input & concerns.
Also the Stay at Home doesn't go into affect until tomorrow at 5:30 PM for our state.

Therefore you think today is safe and tomorrow might be dangerous ?
See how the virus did spread in other countries, confinement went ALWAYS too late! (even in China)

Don't worry, trees, mountains & ocean will still be there later

The sad thing is I may have to work tomorrow. I'm a cashier at Michaels & I'm scheduled to work 9 AM to 2:30 PM.
I'm going to call my Mgr later to see if we really are going to be open.

thankfully in Ontario Canada all stores, except essential services are ordered closed. It is going to be a rough ride financially for our family and friends - but all of us agree it is a necessity and are complying fully.
