Each morning, as Carla prepares breakfast, I print out various articles from the online manifestations of such press outlets as the New York Times, Washington Post, and the like, and from online outlets such as HuffPost.

Here, Carla has stepped away from her reading session to take care of some other business.

When we moved into our home in Alamogordo, N.M., we found adjacent to a small rear patio a lovely rose bush (i have no idea what variety). Carla tends i carefully, and it has continued to proper.

In its blooming season, Carla takes the mature blooms and displays them in a lovely glass cube vase on the dining table.
