Hi guys,

Yes, I have been mysteriously quiet of late! Put it down to hyper-enthusiasm but I can tell you, get an assistant to schlepp heavy gear! Anyway, I'm now slowly getting mobile after being flat on my back from a disc problem. I want to thank everyone for looking after OPF and each other.

I think we can easily find two assistants for you...maybe from Hef's place in Holmby Hills.....you'd just chat them up and they'd be ready, willing and able at a moment's notice to do any heavy lifting for you.

Had a disc problem myself some years ago, I know the pain you'll be going through, take care, be patient and please accept my wishes to you for a full recovery.

Disc problems aren't resolved within a week, frequenting warm thermal bathes were the best solution in my case, some years ago. Make sure that the inflammation is not at the peak, when going there.

Just a brief update! I am still out of action. Am under good care but cannot do any work at all. So guys, OPF is under your total steerage until the damage resolves, which it will. The good thing is that I will not schlepp heavy gear but have it set up and rearrange my shooting based on permanent set up for my portraits and figure studies. However, for now, all I can do is check in and enjoy what you are doing and try to catch up on reviewing photography books and my own pictures.

So the challenge for everyone is to make things work and be vibrant. I'l post when I can.

Thanks to Cem for taking on some extra administrative chores!

I'll make up for things once I'm recovered which I promise will not be too long!

I need to hear more on your studio! That updating will make me feel great! You, Georg Baumann and Leonardo each have built new studios and reporting on them will inspire a lot of others here in OPF!

I will post when the stuff kicks in! Otherwise I'm resting. I'm a bulldog so I will get past this! I'm already planning to improve my studio so don't have to schlepp thinI'm going to go for Elinchron that just opens! I want to work now with zero physical aggravation!

As for my studio, I have a shoot next week that I will post here. Business could be better, I got a few orders for different things so it's picking up for me, but, then I have been doing a bit of numbers crunching since October 15th is a tax deadline for our wayward clients on extension. (in the USA we can file taxes for the prior year with a filing extension to 10/15).

good to see that you haven't lost your (British?) sense of humo(u)r!

So as you may see I'm back in Bordeaux from a wonderfull vacation trip in NYC, almost a week of sun! (the black week at wallstreet though).

So now stay well, ask Wendy for a cup of tea and relax, I can join my forces to Cem's (which I thank BTW for the excellent way he did support OPF).

Back to work!
