Do you think a smaller sensor camera would allow you greater depth of field so you could everything in focus?

:)

Glad it still works Fahim, the eye that is.

Fahim,

Whisper to them gently as they are wondering what to do. Do the pixels in your M8 know that they are just as big as those on the M9 and can see IR if they wish?

Now that the M8 is obsolete, maybe I can be a good citizen and take one off someone's hands for real cheap.

Well... probably not, but I can always wish :)

Daniel,

They are so worthless people are just dumping them in the trash. Think of how useless it is to have a Leica M8.2 with a 150 mm lens only to discover the focal length is in practice 195 mm! Who on earth could use that?

Daniel, with what you do with non-35mm bw, why?

what would I do with it? I'd shoot with it of course :D

I'd probably use it as a travel camera, for when I'm out driving and see a quick landscape or scene that I want to shoot. I travel to visit friends fairly often, and I like to drive when I do so.

Not that my SLR can't do that, but an M8 with two lenses I think would be a nice small (relatively) camera to bring around in the car, and a different shooting experience than looking through the lens of an SLR. I don't think my results would be any better/different than using my SLR, but I think the shooting experience of a range finder would be enjoyable while out on a drive.

Daniel, the experience is what i enjoy the most. of course you see the exact moment you pressed the trigger. before, during and after.

Good luck ( prices seem to be going down for a M8 ).
