Another look in the pine forrest!

Thanks you for posting such an intriguing picture of the fawn in the pine forrest. You work with the tonalities is especially gentle and that's a good presentation. I appreciate the opportunity you have given me for exploring as to how else this picture might be prepared.

I have tried to use a series of signals to move attention to the deer without being heavy handed and numb the sensitivity of your work. The image is intended to be more dimensional and give the animal increased presence. However, over processing an image can remove its life. My approach is to be very stingy in the amount of any change that gets used. So each time I made a change and feel it's just right, I left the picture to do something else. That way, one disciplines oneself to be a little leass heavy-handed. When I returned, I would mask out what was not really needed of that change and reduce its contribution as much as possible but still have the effrect I was trying to introduce. So we have a series of minor changes which add up to move our attention to light filtering through the trees to reveal the solitary animal.
I hope you like it and it adds something to a range of possible expressions of your fine work.

Here are the settings to get the Orton-effect look,
1-move the midtone slider in (levels) so the photo goes alot lighter
2-using the (gaussian blur) tool move the radius slider so the photo goes very blurry
3-go into (blending mode) and select multiply
4-readjust the sliders in the (levels) if necessary
