I had a great time creating this image last week.

I have read your article, kudos for this clear explanation and for sharing as well

One thing though, have you considered shooting your model from above?
Then you wouldn not have nedd the mastresses and the difficulties of the horizontal jump.
She could have jumped vertically (a few centimeters would have been enough)…

Just some thoughts, again: pretty good job!

To answer your question, it's all in the details. When jumping vertically the body wouldn't have taken on the right form, the clothes and hair wouldn't have fallen correctly, and it would have made positioning the flash all the harder.

I think this is wonderful - very well done!

I clicked on your post and this exciting, dynamic, energising image leaped out from the screen, another shot that drew a "wow" and Paul peering over my shoulder, the inevitable "wow" came from him too!!! I'm an ex squash player, so I relished your action packed racket sport shot!

Fascinating reading your blog about how you created it, thank you for sharing this with us, brightened my morning!
