March 2010
In March, the circle broadens.... we've looked at my backyard, and then the people inhabiting the world around me. We'll now look further .. Santa Cruz, the surrounding coastline and farmlands, main streets and back allies.. and all the nooks and crannies that makes me take pause from the comings and goings of daily life.. and look.

Santa Cruz Boardwalk - 7:33am

The Boardwalk was built in 1907, and is the oldest surviving amusement park in California. It also serves as a center of activity for the area... so we'll start the month off here. The park and beach offer much to explore, so I suspect we'll return here more than once this month

Santa Cruz, West Cliff Drive, 7:22am

A two mile stretch of hiking and bicycling trail, starting near the Boardwalk, and leading to Natural Bridges Park. You'll find some of the nicest homes in Santa Cruz on this street, as well as a Lighthouse, and numerous public sculptures. This bronze obelisk has always been one of my favorite.

I have enjoyed looking through your January and February pictures, particularly fond of the portraits.
Now that it is April I ask what happened to the rest of March?

I have not done a 365 myself but figure that it can become a daunting task.

Have you stopped the project or just stopped the posting?

Jim,

I cannot believe I totally missed these pictures. They ae so different in style from your other pictures with shapes of industry in that there is no attempt to make the pictures orthogonal. I wonder why this choice. Is it to go with the casual observance of these things on a walk.

I really like this image, most of all the forms and structures. I think it would make a great standalone image.
With respect, it is a little frustrating to see every image processed in exactly the same way, 'cos I think you have had some great images that warrant a different approach.
