Fahim,

I like mages taken while folk do things in normal social situations and then we can imagine the situation and what they might have done before and afterwards. do they work in a nearby shop/stall or is this the social gathering for women who don't need to work. The groomng im public is interested as is the decorative scarification on the forehead.

Thanks for taking us back to Nepal. This is exotic. What religion do they practice?

Asher

Asher,

In that case, how about a homemaker...tend to the corn, the laundry, watch over the house....

In the southern part of Nepal, bordering India, the religion is predominantly Hinduism. In the Northern
parts, nearing Tibet, it is Buddhism. Of course, there is a mix across the country.

Hi Fahim,
What a wonderful set of images! As Asher pointed out, they are a glimpse of eveyday life.
However, and I must stress "however"...it's a glimpse of lives most of us would not ordinarily see.
That is what makes it so special for us.
Thanks so much for sharing these.

John, nice to see you back. yes, as travellers on this planet we only get to see a glimpse of something
much bigger. Just as me passing thru in Nepal.

Regards.

Great social images, Fahim. A nice insight into this way of life, and I like how you have caught them unaware of being photographed.
