What's the matter?
Allergic to papaya?
Working a Haz-Mat job down the block?
I haven't a clue.
This is one of those one-off images you catch as you're walking by.
It certainly left me scratching my head...

Hi John,

And look at the way he pulls his left arm out of the suit to make a phone call!
A very nice catch indeed. Thanks for showing,

Cheers,

Hi Paul,
Thanks!
For the crop - very little was actually cropped. A small bit off the left side - there was 1/2 of a distracting doorway in the frame, and the tilted image was straightened - I had shot it quickly as I walked by, not realizing how off-kilter it was.

Noooooooo, keep the tilt in the photo, and the extraneous details! :D
This is a street photo and the tidy look of the image bothers me. I was expecting you did this, hence my 'Q'.
Is it possible to see the 'look' of the original image?

Regards.

Hi Paul,
You're correct (and thanks for calling me out on that)...and I do have a tendancy to over-crop/edit casual street scenes.
Now that I see the two together, I agree...leave it alone!

Here's the original, along with the edit:

You see, now things take on new meaning with that hotdog image over on the left side, too. Nice one, this is so much better and not so static and staid as the first.

John,

I also go for the original. It has more impact and of course movement. I don't like the conceit of angled pictures when they are too obviously done for "effect". (I use oblique shots a lot with full length shots just to not change the focal length of my lens on a white b.g.)

I'm interested how the edited got less saturated? The original has a nice "pop" to it and is a "moment" caught while on your route. The cropped version then would have to show much more demanding detail or interest to justify itself and removing the balancing effect of other components of the picture.

My only wish is for more and if you have taken other shots with the entire hot dog, then it would be fun to stitch it!

Asher
