A School Girl with Braces

An example of what happens when you let the model change the time of day for an outdoor shoot.

The sun comes out and the contrast sucks.

Here are the few almost keepers. Notice the first shot is perfect since it was still overcast.(the makeup shot)

This was a rush shoot since the braces come off this monday!

Hi Will,

Even thought the lighting was not ideal, it seems that you have had some acceptable results.
Did you enjoy the session yourself?

Cheers,

OK! So they are starting to grow on me. They seem to look better after getting some sleep. Or just after getting over the disappointment of not getting the lighting I wanted.

Doug, Yes all photo shoots are better with a makeup artist!

Cem, Yes, I did have fun, even on only 2 hrs sleep.

Marshall, here are some shots that you can not miss the pink braces! (You would have really thought "school girl" when she showed up to the shoot riding her bicycle!)

Thanks for sharing Will, looks like you really had a fun model to work with.
Now that is funny that she rode her bicycle to the shoot. I am quite sure she turned some heads during that trip.
Would you please talk about the technical side of the shoot.
What lighting did you use, where placed, etc??

Thanks again for sharing.

Marshall,

I had to buy the outfit at a local costume store since she could not find the one she said she had.

I had asked to meet at a local Dennys to do the makeup and to change but she said to meet at the park. She changed at the park, Put the skirt on over here jeans and put the shirt on over her tank top and bra. I was changing lenses and next thing I know the tank top was gone. I can not even think of how she did it. It must have been very elastic.

I was stunned!

Great improvisation and a lot of fun. She will really like those pictures, especially the second one. She has a really good attitude and seems a happy lady. I do hope she can model for you again and you get more help! Watch she has toes one at least one foot!

Pic 2 from the first series (although turning her body slightly would have improved it a lot).
And the third portrait are my favorites in this series.
