This old Saguaro cactus is out behind the home we are staying in. I say old without really knowing how old but I have read up on them since coming to Tucson and they say it takes about 80 years before they even get their first arm or branch so I assume this one is quite a bit older than that. I don't know what happened for it to bow down like this. High winds maybe? Drought? Is it just too tired to stand anymore? It has been this way since before the house was built 12 years ago so we do not know what happened. I just found it a very interesting subject and thought I would share it with you.
