A work in Progress: Silhouette of a Dancer

I've been working on a silhouette of a dancer. I've got a ways to go (getting right setting) but this is the idea.

Hi Rachel,

A good challenge you gave yourself. Thinks to watch out for: cord at the back do yuou want it htere, if so does it serve as a compositional element or not. If not, do you want it there.

The bump in the edge of here left neck (our right). Is that her muscles, a collar or scarf?

The composition: what way so we know she's a dancer? Look forward to seeing how this project goes.

The background was absolutely atrocious. I was terribly disappointed with the noise. But...I'm scouting for locations that will have a scenic background. The dancer -- and at least one more from the same studio -- would be willing to pose in front of a picture window at the local university student activity center. My plan is that they will be in dance form, and thus we'll know from the pose they are dancers.

By the way, those are her muscles! The specific bump you referred to, though, is the neck line of her leotard.

Interestingly enough, my best headshot of her was from a dance pose....

I am working on another silhouette that I'm stumped on. I'll post in the beginner forum for ideas if that's ok.
