That face shows a resemblance to a bears beautiful mug, LOL! Is that winter fur, or is it like that all year? This is the first time I have noticed you using the 300mm f2.8. I wonder whether you'd buy that again or a 300 mm f4.0 L IS? Do you really need it at f2.8?

It was The 300mm is probably the sharpest and fastest lens that I have ever used. I don't use it much because the 500mm is my preference.

The 300mm f4 is a really small lens - I used one for a short time in Alaska and wasn't as impressed. I'm really not qualified to weight in on the lens - it was a short time I used one. I'm sure it is a nice lens and I believe it is substantially less expensive than the 300 f2.8. Personally, the f2.8 wold be my preference but the f4 would certainly be a nice arrow in the "Lens Quiver".
