Hi Graham,

Nice image, cute kid. I think the image becomes a bit more powerful if you crop a bit off of the top and right. When you crop the top to half an inch above his hair, and at the right just cropping the elbow a bit, then a strong suggested diagonal from his right arm through his eyes almost cuts the image in 2 triangles. This has the effect of refocusing the viewer's eyes on his eyes.

Cheers,
Bart

Hi Graham

A nice moment, but I would prefer black and white here as I find the reds and oranges do not have sufficient separation as it stands and don't really add to the picture. Just my tupennyworth

I like it, but would do some very agresive sharpening just on the eyes. I usually do something like 200%, 2 pixel radius, and then drop the percentage to taste. All asuming you use PS or a similar editing program.

Thank you all for your thoughts, much appreciated.

Bart, thanks for the idea of the crop, it definitely improves it.

Mike, I will try a b & w conversion and see what happens.

Hello Graham,

I am with Rachel for a tighter crop. I would prefer the colors to be a little darker. I would leave the
'above ' collars alone. yes, the eyes could stand some sharpening.

regards.
