In Perspective, Fun: America at 78 MPH

Strapped my camera to a pre-positioned box on the passenger seat of my Mini using a remote shutter release. I shot with a 24-70 2.8 lens on my D7000, ISO at about 800, shutter at 1/1200 and aperture on f/8. I was running at 78 using the old adage, 78 you skate, 79 you're mine as they pertain to speeding tickets.

Chris,

Actually, this received a lot of attention in my home. We even brought in the grandchildren to see the amazing speed of the landscape sculpted by the harvester. However, I wanted to find a good enough picture to join in the discussion.

That one can capture the scene at 78 mph is even more impressive. I photograph a lot from the car. It's safer if one is a passenger as distraction in framing could cause an accident and in the city, some areas are not for idling!
