Hi James,
You have made a very interesting pair of images with the foreground beach having nice rocks going into the water and then subtle light on the water until the horizon in the distance. At that point, the pictures have somewhat a problem with the sky not being as rich as one might expect from everything below the horizon.
Can you, perhaps, develop the sky separately so it has more detail in the clouds? Right now, we seem to have lost a lot on the way from photography to sharing it with us!
