behind the counter

I was bored running around in a small ex fishing town where nothing was happening, no one on the streets on a friday afternoon where normally it was buzzing with life. So I had that funny idea to go in to the weirdest shop I can find and ask permission to take a few snaps. Walked straight behind the counter before the guy got seconds thoughts, took a snap and left.

I think I am going to do that more often now. The idea is that this small space behind a counter in these shops is most private, and I was curious how it looks there.

The things you do when you are bored.... LOL

Yeah, that struck me as so.... :) It is a bit tricky, because he was immediately uncomfortable when he realized I am going to shoot this space, but he was too baffled to react quickly, so I smiled at him, said thanks and quickly left, might be a good future strategy. ;)

Another good place to do so is the sewing stuffs shop (haberdasher's shop GB/ notions store US - the old ones) with all the buttons, ribbons threads and fancy laces around, all sorted in colours and in wooden shelves if the owner is a granny, makes wonderful texture "abstract" pictures (to me at least)
