This is a very good picture. It does not follow any of the established rules of composition, but it works very well. You are asking for edit and repost, but I can't think of any edit which would improve the picture. Maybe rotate the picture a bit counterclockwise so that the main line is horizontal, but I am not even sure about that.

I do like your original. It has all the elements needed for drama. As you suggested the opportunity for editing, here's an offering where the movement from left to right is progressively up and that puts the dogs in a superior position.
