Bobcat

What a way to start out my morning at Black Point! Bobcat walked out in the road as I approached the entrance....he then went into the woods....I then pursued! Full frame shot (700mm from 15 meters away).

Only managed to get 3 shots off before I spooked him. Had a bit to much glass for this shot!

The eyes have it, Eric. Very nice capture and well worth the effort. Having too much lens for wildlife doesn't happen very often in my experience, especially with small birds like warblers.

Eric,

I like the idea that it's peering between trees. Great capture. As far as "too much lens", at the rate things are advancing in software, I think you'll be able to refocus the trees from RAW. This would be a nice test case. I wonder how far one could do at present.

Eric, I love this "portrait". What a fascinating cat! Did you find him/her in the wild or is this some sort of an animal park?

I don't Photograph animals in captivity or zoo's. This was taken in Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge....thanks to NASA we have so much wild habitat to venture in! As I was driving to my destination the Bobcat crossed the road in front of me. I Pulled over I and spotted him hiding between 2 trees.
