Life w/o humor isn't very fun. and making Art w/o a sense of humor is, lifeless.
I do agree, I'd bump up the light in that photo. I think it would come alive w a bit of light.

Lovely work!
Not sure i agree that it should be lighter. Maybe try a mild screen or linear dodge on the ground but the sky is marvelous.
