Butting Heads

I spent the last three days in Yellowstone. March went out like a lion with a heavy snowstorm on Tuesday. The weather improved on Wednesday and then deteriorated again on Thursday. I watched these two bulls go at it and caught a reasonable image. This is kind of a redo of a shot I took a couple of years ago that was not very well done. Canon 1D Mk II N + EF 400mm f/5.6, 1/1000s @ f/5.6, ISO 250. As always C&C is welcome and any suggestions about my watermark would also be appreciated.

Steve, you're getting good value for the money on your 400 f 5.6 lens and the extra x1.2 factor of the 1D Mark IIN.

Excellent action! You must have filled a CF/SD card in short time! This is a challenge as the dynamic range os so wide. Did you have to process twice and blend. This is like shooting a bridge and groom, LOL and you didn't destroy the white in exposing sufficiently for the dark coat of the buffalo. This would be a great picture to experiment with Bart and Cem's discovered, seemingly more natural), HDR software, here.

Thanks Asher and Rachel. It isn't HDR as I'm not up to speed on that just yet. I just played around with simple adjustments to highlights, shadows, and contrast in PSE7. This was a pretty quick job of PP on my laptop. Now I'll have to spend some time on the desktop doing a better job.
