News: Calacademy "Color of Life" exhibit

The California Academy of Science at Golden Gate Park in SF currently host their spectacular "Color of Life" exhibit

Currently being in the Bay area, I visited the exhibit yesterday evening with my spouse on their invitation,
as I have some of my UV work on display there.

Fantastic exhibit they have made and on every Thursday night, there is a "Nightlife" event with music, food and drinks and life demonstrations of their work!

Eastern rosella in the bg, nice!

I think I'm right in saying that he Eastern rosella has luminescent plumage.
On its back down to its rump, the yellow to green colour has natural luminescence.
I'm sure you know more about this.
Looks like a fantastic exhibition Dr. Klaus, any chance of seeing your inclusions?

I wonder if there are scholarly papers available from this exhibition, giving clues to understanding the ways in which biological color decoration has developed, especially in birds. How does the specific set give evolutionary advantage.

I had planned to use my investigative noggins and Google. It would seem self evident that there's much researched on the subject. I am not lazy, just overwhelmed!

I, however, have still a lot to catch up. I read volumes every day just to approach the edge of understanding of so many key topics, (conflicts, human rights, refugees, surge of right wing and xenophobic sentiment, Daesh hyperbole, cauldron of the Syria, Iraq, Turkey, Kurdistan Golan Heights, Pakistan, Peruvian workers for the Chinese-purchased mountains and mines, medicine, US political tom foolery and more), so it's so helpful to have summaries and reviews recommended.
