How easy is it for you to go from essentially taking pictures without permission to having enthusiastic buy in. We start with surreptitious snaps. Well that's hard with a long white lens, but not to hard with a 24-105 black lens on a Canon 5D Mark II at about 20 to 30 ft away.
I've noticed that having a respectable looking camera says, if one is noticed, that one is seriously in to photography. But when one is noticed, can we break the ice and make eye contact and smile to go to the next stage?
Does the first shot, essentially stolen with no consent, block further useful cooperation? I think it depends on attitudes. One needs to be well mannered, look respectable and be good at meeting people. Genuinly liking the subject, is the easiest path for doing photography of strangers.

The problem for the photographer is that the adults are looking for the grandfather who's not in sight! To get all 4 here would be a miracle. So I made I contact and held up my camera and they assembled for the picture, putting aside the quest for grandpa!
. . .

Here the kids are so bubbly and move from one state of happiness to another. A really happy set of twins!
I will process these again in Capture One, once I regain command! For now, it's the black screen of death, when a dark charcoal shadow, slowly descends, mercilessly to cover the Macbook Pro screen!
