... lens, does not result in good quality but very fun to make and investigate =) The thought was to make a large format cardborad box and to be able to shoot the projection inside it with a digital camera so I can view the result directly.

Inside the box I have a white panel that I can move back and forth to get the focus ( the box can be slightly open on top so I can see ). Then I put a small digital camera in the hole beneath the "lens" that can capture the projection on the panel inside. I was so curious about how the depth of field world be with a large lens and a large projection.

I "invented" that for my large camera obscura, I thought it was secret, LOL! You must be a brilliant genius independent thinker and savant too!

Nope, he actually focusses on a white card from a peephole in the front of the camera! Very clever I must say, as I invented that some years ago!

Hard to focus on a white card. I still think he focuses on the real image (which, although I didn't mention it, is formed on the white card).

I think the magnifying glass is used as the objective lens of the "big camera". Then the digital camera focuses on the image generated on the white screen by that main objective lens.

Wonderful results. They may be fuzzy, but they work. I see you are a musician also. What kind of music do you make?

I did many styles but my main passion is blues. At one time I did sounds and demos for an american company called Ensoniq, that made synths and samplers. And as I do strange things with photography I also did with music. For instance extracting Lightning Hopkins voice from a record and put his voice on a new arrangement that I made ( like using blue screen =) ). Delta blues artist Lightnin' normally plays alone with his guitar and I wanted to hear him in a Ray Charles like arrangement http://www.lutzimages.com/mp3/lightnin.mp3

Where is he alone with the guitar and some of the recordings you invented seem to have no vocals?
