The yellow flower is not clovers (trifolium), but is a buttercup (probably oxalis pes-caprae, an invasive species).

I was wondering about that! It must be that they are not open and so I didn’t recognize them.

I questioned whether it could be buttercups

I corrected my post, the yellow flowers are from the plants producing the leaves. It is just that this plant is not clover (trifolium) but from the genus oxalis.

So this appears to be a purple Helliborus!

It’s so beautiful and I appreciate meeting it for the very first time today! What a treat!

Yes, this is what it is. These flowers are planted near the bees, as they bring valuable pollen in spring.
