Taken today (30/10/09), in Bishopsgate, London. This is Heron Tower, a new addition to London's skyline.
I don't know about the weird, pale yellow cast in the photo, its not on the original, I wonder if its due to re-sizing?

fantastic lines, Paul. I have a great fear of heights and this made my spine tingle a little when I first saw it. It had a very strange effect on me. It may be that I'm scared for that worker dangling from a lightweight looking rope. Love it.

I see a slight yellow cast, too but have no explanation to offer.

Hi Paul,

I think that the first picture is more powerful as it establishes the context of what we are looking at. When one is shown the second one only, one would not understand immediately what is going on.

Cheers,

I agree Cem, thats why the one in the first post is included in the project. I do have a couple of images that have an abstract nature and are quite pictorial. I'm wondering on whether to include them in the project.
Can pictorial images work together alongside documentary ones? I'm not sure.

Excellent picture, Paul. I like the subject and your approach, which really inserts your presence in to the picture. We really feel you are there shooting upwards and this is interesting to me and an important part of the of the esthetics.

I wonder whther or not clouds at the top would enhance or ruin the picture.

Thanks, Asher. I had to step into a busy road near a junction to get these shots, so that I could get a good perspective. The lights were red of course, otherwise I would've been too. :D
