We are about a week away from Eaglets!!! Here is a photo of the female taking off with the left overs of a Coot. The male flew in with it (after he ate his share), dropped of the food in the nest and then she took of with it to enjoy in an adjacent tree.

That looks like a small rodent and the thoracic cage open and the viscera already devoured. Do they eat the skin?

Asher.....actually it is a Coot she has....notice the leg on the right side of her beak flopping in the wind.
