The second MkIII I ordered is in the shop for me to collect tomorrow and it seems that at last they are becoming available at least in small numbers. I was getting worried as I only have the one MKIII and no other Canon backup and I was even considering the 40D as backup just to have something. If the 40D had a 1.5x crop like Nikons D200 instead of the 1.6x, I would definitely have bought it instead, now I'm glad I held out the extra couple of months.
