Finally bit on the 17” Epson P900 pigment ink printer yesterday. It fits perfectly in our small apartment, and was effortless to set up —- even the wireless connectivity with my desktop workstation in another room 30 feet away. The iOS Epson Print Layout app on my iPad works flawlessly.
First prints out of the printer were so good and with a few tweaks and saved preset settings, will be repeatable. Of course it is wonderful to be able to produce true Black and White archival prints without having to switch out cartridges.
While I may not have the need for producing many prints as large as the 17”x22” sheet paper that it can handle, I have that ability if I ever need it. Meanwhile I am able to produce all sizes smaller, and at an ink cost of about the half the price of my initial inclination of buying the P700.
