This is a great gargoyle Michael! It appears to be new, so I'll ask if it is a copy of an older one? Your depiction of it makes me think there should be balding monks running about.

Mostly, I've only seen them in the distance. Interesting to see one in such detail. In your original picture, can you make out an actual hole in the mouth or is it solid.

Thanks. I took this while I was on travel.
The church is undergoing renovation and I don't know how old the gargoyles are.
I will have to check.
