Georg,

I love the colors and the concept. The observation and choice of the format is perfect. I'd look at the possibility that more foreground water and a tad less rock above might be an option that pleases you more.

Is this near you? I'd be back there many times. This is a place to study over the seasons and from early morning mist until the sun goes down.

Hi Asher,

funny you mention that, I see it the same way. I just discovered this spot a few days ago, and yes, it is in walking distance across the road from me.

You should have clicked on the white trunks to color balance the photo properly

That would have taken care of the yellow-reddish color cast that covers the entire image.

Just my 0.2 cents...

I don't know how to put a smiley in the post. So I put it in the header. It's not as visible unfortunately.

I see you have one above. How do you add it?

Let's be clear

Some threads are looking now like teenager's forum talking basketball or Nintendo (nothing against that, just another place to be).

I don't want OPF to be boring, and I agree (and appreciate) that some time we may unstress with some jokes, fun, and humoristic comments but, even as photographers, we still can use words to tell our moods and feelings, humor (humour) spirit and lot more... this is so much richer!
Hopefully OPF members are sharing a lot and don't use SMS awfull spelling, then why use these shortcuts?

It would be preferable, if a poster wants to show his mood beyond wording, to use just the following:
:)
;-)
:-0
:-(
etc...

The Smileys police. Interesting.

Hi folks,

Just to clarify, the tone we set is not happenstance. Please no comic characters. There are no gremlins on galleries for good photography. This is our style. just as in your own websites, you have a consistent style. I'm up to my eyeballs in work and I hope it's sufficient that I ask a favor from you all to refrain from including these creatures. Instead, show great pics.

There you go. Much more realistic:

Hi Alain,

This is what I call the classic "sunset conundrum"! To white balance one needs to do so with a card, like Whibal™ at about 3 pm and then use that image to correct color taken at sunset. That way, the sunset hues remain but the filters and glass on your lens and reflection from a blue wall or green leaves will be neutralized. Keeping the special colors of sunset requires this extra work, or else, perhaps, don't correct at all.
