Haynes Vintage Tractor Rally

An interesting event at the weekend, just down the road from where I live...

This is most enjoyable. Farm tractors need to be tough but easy for a farmer to repair.

I remember the first time I drove a tractors was at age 12 and around a very large cornfield. It was fun.

However my instructor sitting on the side of a steel flat bed trailer, waiting for me to slowly approach, cheered me on and at the last minute realized he hadn’t yet told me where the brake was.

Fortunately he leapt into action and at the last moment jumped on the unstoppable beast and shut it down.

I've never driven one myself but my son had a go at steering one when we stayed on a working farm in Cornwall and the farmer took him out for a ride. He would have been younger than you were.
