now. Watch your step, it is slippery.

Feel cold? Here, take my jacket. Better.

Now sit here besides me. Quiet. Listen.

Listen to the water. The birds. The insects. See the sunlight play on the leaves.

I know smells fresh. Clean.

Feel like putting your hand in the water? Go ahead, I shall hold you.

Tastes pure, no?

The senses..yes all five of them. And something more.

Of course there are people. Two of them.

Fahim Mohammed: Hold my hand..careful

Fahim,

At last you have one picture which I can confront and share my impulsive response that you might need to change something or other; and then feel right about my upstart behavior! :)

Waterfalls and rushing streams are favorites especially in B&W. Most seem to go for slow shutter speeds like they love a "whipped cream effect", one conceit I've never acquired. You've gone in the opposite direction with sharpening to, and perhaps beyond the limit. I'd reconsider that.

Next, the bar of what's likely the bridge or a rail is, of course, blown out. I cannot imagine that this is intensional. Why not simply clone it out. The underlying image might be worth the extra attention.

I like the fast speed image of the fast moving, bubbling, noisy water. It might be worth a second go at presentation, but now, I've said far too much!

Your ' experienced and considered ' advice is gratefully acknowledged. Maybe you did not like the blueish hue of the water. So I toned it down a little also.

Left a little bit of the bridge as a marker, to see where it was. That is easily removed.

Toned down the sharpening.

I also thought of moving to another spot along the stream!! But you would say that was cheating!!

Honestly, I prefer the first one.

You know why?

Ayesha was there.

Fahim,

You've done a a speedy job and shown I was clearly wrong as far as the diagonal rail, which actually contributes to the composition far more than I had imagined. If only there was detail in it!

Neither of us is wrong.

You clearly like the excitement of crossing the stream over the rocks, vegetation and the water.

I prefer to use the bridge.

See you on the other side ( of the stream LOL )
