Thr bark of these trees flakes in a series of multicolored layers and some of these appear to have awesome shapes of fascinating birds, elephants, dragons and other animals!

I had never seen a bark like that but a google search assures me it's a Sycamore tree. Fascinating and good for camouflage! :) Maggie

These are remarkable trees for parks and provide hollows for nut storage and nests!

I love the flakes of bark they fall off as they assume the shapes of glorious imaginary animals!
