Hi Charlotte

These are lovely pictures of Peyton(? please correct if I am wrong!). Perhaps just my approach to processing:) Of the 3 I think the last is the strongest:

The first, whilst clear, leaves a question in her expression, apart from the stem across her eye.

The second loks as though she was cought between ready moments. her hands distract somewhat from her face, though the furtive glance is nice.

In the third, I like her expression and the hands obscuring the mouth doesn't distract from that. Again a question, but this time it is peering into her world rather than being questioned. Not my strong point (others seem to notice things I don't in web pics), but a couple of technical tinngs I noticed are that there is a suspicion of movement or camera shake around the left eye (could just be me) and that the finger on her left hand can be confused with her top lip. The skin colour is lovely!

thank you-
she has not only become my model but the both of us comp this together now-
she is an artist and wants her "being" to be there for sure-
so I listen-
I had the wreath made " I did it" but she wanted flowers- the light was waning-
but we made this together- in the nick of time"

camera shake" I am working on"
I ttook 167 shots of these I think represent what "we" were going for
she always has to be involved-
she is an artist- has a sony and does veryvery well- she shows me all her shots and we talk"
we have become over the years "teachers" to each other"

Thanks Charlotte, That's better:)

Now tell me you didn't move her hands and mouth in photoshop and that this is one of the other 166 frames! As well as having a better position for the hands this also seems to be less shaken than the previous shot. You've given her a bit more space too. She can breathe.

Obviously I like black and white, but the comparison between this and your colour shots above is instructive, as this loses nothing in the conversion, even though the skin was lovely to start with. I think it was James Ravillious who suggested that 'colour doesn't add anything to most photographs', and I think that this can be taken further and colour seen as a distraction in some. Your removal of colour here gives the extra abstraction from reality that improves the shot for me (not sugesting you follow a course of this isn't very good, I'll convert to B&W!)

Al with apologies to Nic, who I understand needs colour in his ork.

lol no- I don't move hands and mouth etc- I wouldn't know how to do that and have no intention of ever doing such a thing
all of the pose was hers and hers alone-I like the bandw a lot actually I like color and bandw pretty much the same but have a slight tendency toward bandw- I just wanted to show you one in the bandw
here are a few more conversions-thank you for coming back to this thread-
