My 1DsMkII is well over due for calibration (It tends to shoot back a bit, but I am used to compensating for this ) and had planned to have it calibrated to my 85/f1.2, since unless the mkII breaks I will keep the lens attached basically forever (or so my plan goes ).
But a comment I read on another thread has me curious.
Because of the 1DM3 AF fixes, is this NOT a good time to send in my camera for this?
I was waiting until I had the 1DsMkIII in hand and made sure it was working correctly first, but then my priority was to send in the 1DsMkII and when I got it back, part with my 10D, which is my current backup camera. I know they are not comparable, but I figured it would do and save me money for when the 1DsMkIII came out and I have a film Hasselblad if I got desperate.
Just curious if anyone would happen to know if maybe I should wait awhile or if Canon has added extra persons to do the AF fix and regular repairs and servicing (at least for the 1-series ) are still running at a good clip. To date all of my repairs have been done in under 2 weeks from drop off at my local camera store.
