and I cannot explain my "arc of intent" other than the concept fascinates me, but...anyone see any value in this at all?

I'd like a title for the series if Im to get your concept easily. At present we have just two instances of your photographs of a broken glass. The first has the shadow falling away to the right and the second has the shadow caught, it seems, close to the glass itself by curving up the paper background or else moving the light source.
I don't know, quite yet, what you intend, but that's fine. Left to themselves, as a ditypch, I'd think of the glass as a trophy, evidence or weapon, as the broken pieces have been left behind. With that, I'd imagine the scenarios that each might trigger.
However, likely as not, your object was not to create a free for all in my devious mind. You have a concept: what is it?
