Jim,

The diagonal bright areas add a splash of energy. I used to think ISO 6400 would be an impossible ISO for practical photography. Now, however, with various noise ware, one can comfortably use this and higher ISO settings. In this case, I'd add some more exposure to the RAW, as it seems a tad dark on my screen.

I like the idea of using no flash unless it's from a large source. So with modern cameras and the ability to recover shadows, this is a new area for us to work in.

Let's see more!

Size reducing for the web does also "compress" noise and other artifacts…
Sorry James, nothing wrong about your image, but I would try not to make any theory based on such sample…
Thanks for posting however as the framing and lighting are nice, as Asher already pointed : D
