This is, for lack of an appropriate word, beautiful. It engages me in a way that most flower photography doesn't. To me it feels like you've gone beyond the flower to some other place with this ( I don't really have the words to describe it, it just seems to press a lot of buttons at once.)
I'd comment on your comment, but I think I'm taking it far too literally, and I don't want to detract from a photo like that.

Hi Wolfgang,
Well done. I'm usually seeking to capture what the light does to subjects/objects, and you've succeeded in doing just that. It's a joy to look at.
