Keys View Pano

Here's a very quick 3 frame pano stitch in CS3.
Keys_View.jpg

1DMkIIN handheld using the Sigma 12-24mm at ~16mm - 1/250sec f8, the resultant image is ~7000 pixels, although the softness of the Sigma at the edge can be seen on the final output at the merge points.
I should gone with the EF24-70 in portrait, corrected distortion and shot 5 or so frames. Hindsight being an exact science!

John,

For a 3 frame quickie this is wonderful. Even if it were on a tripod it would be fine by me too. I wouldn't mind if the separate pictures we not blended and matched.

The vision you have there would rise above any such technicalities. I' say you did a good job. Bart's wish for more tonalities in the highlights might be worth looking at but i'm sure if you were going to print this you would have more work to so. However, this picture is worth investing time in.

What's important is how you went beyond the capabilities of the capable Sigma 12-24 to do what you wanted to do, even without a tripod.

I wonder whether DXO might be of help in this circumstance?

Asher
