Japan is a one place I find hard to write about. It is a world leader by all measures of development
and financial prowess. Yet it is a land of the gentle and the cruel. The beauty of their traditions combines
with the bestiality of their past. The honor of the Samurai and the gentleness of the Geisha.

It seems one steps thru a wormhole into the past that seems so mesmerising

and yet one cannot escape modern day Japan. Both are facts, reality intermingled with the past:

The pomp, power, glory, and beauty of bygone legends:

co-existing with what can only appear to be urban nightmares:

But my lasting impressions of Japan is one of serenity amidst the outward chaos and the consequences
of modern day Japan.

They speak brilliantly to your commentary on past vs. today, tradition and order amongst chaos.
I hope others here have the ability to praise this work in more artful terms as I have little experience in the sense of art appreciation.
However, I can recognize beauty and these creations are certainly that.

I like this work very much, Fahim. Photo collage, such as this, is one of the oldest forms of photographic expressionism. Digital imaging has opened the door to new frontiers in this format and there's been a bit of a resurgence in photo collage in recent years.

But back to you. Perhaps I'm a bit sensitized to your subject, since I'm currently up to my armpits in a Japanese photography research project with a museum. Nevertheless, I'm certain that this is some of the best stuff I've seen from you. You appear to have a knack for this, Fahim!

Finding something impressive to snap is one thing, constructing an image with a strong family of concepts with endless attraction is another. This is an important part of the simple one shot picture too, but most folk just don't see that. You have arrived at a new level Congrats!
