Looking for a job

I look and look and look all morning long on Monster, Careerbuilder, LinkedIn, and the local newspaper every single day. Almost 100 resumes sent out electronically and so far, 35 hardcopies mailed regular mail, and not one interview given. Today I got tired and decided to get up and go look out in my backyard just on the off chance that a job was trying to sneak up on me. Once again, I was disappointed. Help me President Obama!!!

edited to ad the second image. I think the color version shows a little more optimism.

Hi James

It's early days yet - try not to get despondent, you're doing all the right things. Remember to look after your physical health, walk, jog, swim, cycle, yoga, pilates, or try something new, it lifts the spirits to be outside. I'm thinking of you and all the others in your position and wishing jobs your way, I know from past experience how challenging this time is.

Anyway, out of these two shots I prefer the B & W, I wonder if this could be the start of a photodiary....

Hello James,

It's going to be better tomorrow! We will get an injection of funding to boost credit and that will mean work and re-expansion of the economy. We only have a few percent shrinkage! Just building more stuff here will take care of things. I like the idea of a B&W photo-diary. Do it well and perhaps get it in the sunday magazine of the paper. See if you can take your idea to include other folk and dig down to see what positive is going on.

In any case, we're all rooting for you!

Good luck James.
Sad that so many good people are out of a job through no fault of their own. Something will come up and who knows, maybe lead to better things.

Hi James,

Just to let you know that I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you (and for others in a similar position). I know what such a situation can do to a person, but it can also spark something new, something better. Stay optimistic, it will influence your chance on success.

I like the way you are documenting the process, keep it up!

Cheers,
Bart

James, my best wishes to you and others in a similar situation. May you all find fulfillment.

Do the creatures of the desert find food? Do the organisms in the depth of oceans find the means to
survive?

My grand-daughter cannot fend for herself on her own. Is she, and millions of others like her, not taken care of?

Does day follow night? Does night follow day? Does not the sun shine after rain? Will the bare trees I see now in Ottawa ever have leaves?

All things happen when the time is right. This is a trial for you. How will you come out of it?

Best.
