The day was hazier than I prefer, nevertheless.

Nikon D90, 16-85 mm lens at 75. (85 is hopeless)

Hi Doug,

Despite the haze, this has turned out to be a fine picture if you ask me. It brings so many memories with it. Are you in NY now or was it a short trip? Thanks for sharing this with us.

Now if I may, here is a quick scan from a printed copy of an Empire State snap which I made some 12 yrs ago from the roof of the twin towers. I couldn't find the negative so the quality is quite bad. But it is the idea which matters in this case.

Cheers,

What lens were you using?

If I remember correctly, I used a Sigma 70-300 APO lens mounted on a Nikon F800 but I am not sure to be honest.

Edit: Oh no, I remember it now! It was a Minolta compact APS film camera with a built in zoom lens, can you believe it? ;-)

Cheers,

CEM: I feel strange looking at your photo and knowing there are no more towers. It's like standing on air.

Home Sweet Home

Hi Doug,
- been away for the last 5 days off-shore tournament fishing in the Keys. Nice to come back to a picture of home. Great shot.
